Loma

Loma is a 25-storey concrete-framed mixed-use tower in Coquitlam’s Maillardville neighbourhood, offering residential suites and rooftop amenities.

On Loma, we executed deep excavation and underpinning preparations tailored to a tower in an established neighbourhood. Responsibilities included careful excavation adjacent to existing structures, installation of temporary retaining systems, interfacing with geotechnical engineers to ensure slope stability and groundwater control, and staged export of excavated materials to maintain local traffic flow. Special emphasis was placed on vibration monitoring, protecting neighbouring foundations, and ensuring the excavation platform met concrete pour and waterproofing contractor tolerances.
